SRINAGAR, Mar 15: Vice president of Apni Party Zaffar Iqbal Manhas today said that the party leadership is committed to work for equitable development of both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
“Apni Party is determined to solve the problems faced by the people at large. They have been conned for so many years by various political parties, however, Apni Party does not believe in emotive sloganeering; instead we focus on realistic issues that affect the routine lives of our people,” Manhas said.
He further said that Apni Party adheres to the principle of ‘politics of truth’ which demands sincerity and efforts at grass root levels. Manhas was speaking during a party function in which several prominent political activists including Sarpanch Wathoo-Shopian Abdul Ahad Lone joined the party at its office in Lal Chowk, Srinagar.
The new entrants who included Khurshid Ahmad Dar (ex-PDP Halqa President Wathoo), Mohammad Iqbal (Ex-PDP Block President-Wathoo), Mohammad Jabbar Bhat, Zahid Ahmad Lone, Showkat Ahmad Wani, Aamir Yusuf, Adil Ahmad, Umer Nazir, Faisal Maqbool, Shabnam Ahmad along with dozen other political activists from Dairoo, Keegam, Ganapoora and Daramdoor Shopian, vowed to strengthen the party at grass root level.
Other senior party leaders including State secretary and district president Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, general secretary Apni Party youth wing Muzaffar Reshi, district secretary Shopian Advocate Mohammad Tanveer Tak and district secretary Srinagar Jeelani Kumar were also present on the occasion.
