JAMMU, Apr 12: Apni Party leaders here today staged a protest demonstration demanding regularisation of NHM employees.
The protest was led by Apni Party provincial secretary, Dr. Rohit Gupta and president Apni Trade Union, Aijaz Kazmi wherein the protesters raised slogans in favour of their demand.
Addressing protesters Dr. Rohit Gupta said, the Government has not been able to work as per the wishes of the people.
Aijaz Kazmi said that situation has not changed in J&K with the takeover by LG administration in J&K after 2019 developments.
“The daily wagers have been facing discrimination with regard to their regularization and the Government is trying to divide them into different segments which we strongly oppose,” he maintained adding that the Government should regularize all the daily wagers in one go.
“J&K has over 61,000 daily wagers who are the backbone of various Government departments,” he claimed.
State youth coordinator, Sunny Kant Chib urged upon the Government to make a policy for regularization of daily wagers in all the Government departments without any further delay.
Prominent among those present in the protest were provincial joint secretary, Kulwant Singh; provincial president youth wing, Vipul Bali; provincial president OBC Wing, Sohan Singh Soni and others.
