JAMMU, Dec 3: Apni Party (AP) today kick-started membership drive at municipal ward number 71 in Sidhra.
The drive was launched in a meeting that was organized by AP youth wing general secretary, Abhay Bakaya under the supervision of provincial secretary and membership drive incharge, Dr Rohit Gupta. During the drive, active members participated in the meeting and dozens of people joined the Party.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rohit Gupta explained the policies of the Party and emphasized on the need to take up membership drive at the grass root level. He said that the people have pinned their hopes on the Apni Party because of its equitable developmental approach.
Meanwhile, Abhay Bakaya highlighted the concerns of development faced by the people in Sidhra even as the area comes under the Jammu Municipal Corporation. He said that the concerned authorities have not given any heed to the repeated demands for improvement in basic amenities in Sidhra especially at ward number 71.
Prominent among those participated in the meeting include Puran Chand Rahi, Shakti Devi, Sushma Sharma, Sushma Manjotra, Sushma Devi, Salma Begam, Raja Bebi, Mehnaz Kosar and Zareena Begam.
