VIJAYPUR, Jan 16: Apni Party here today staged a protest demonstration against PDD for unscheduled power cuts.
The protest was led by provincial president, Jammu and former Minister, S. Manjit Singh at SDM Office Vijaypur.
The protesters raised slogans against PDD for failing to supply electricity round the clock.
They claimed that Vijaypur and border villages are forced to face unscheduled power cuts.
“The PDD is charging huge bills from the people in Vijaypur and in return they have not provided them electricity,” Manjit Singh said adding: “Common masses, farmers and business men are suffering due to inefficiency of PDD department.”
He submitted a memorandum to SDM Vijaypur demanding proper electricity supply.
Prominent among those who participated in the protest were Raman Thapa, District president Samba; Bachan Choudhary, Block president Ramgarh; Captain Mohan Lal Sharma, Block president Vijaypur and others.
