SAMBA, Sept 18: A truck loaded with apple on way from Kashmir to Delhi, overturned on the highway after its tyre burst near Sandhvadi area of Ghagwal Samba district. Apples lying in the truck were scattered on the road.
According to the police, the truck went out of control after its tyre burst on the Highway. The truck driver Aqeeb Ahmed, son Manzoor Ahmed resident of Sopore in North Kashmir district Baramulla along with the conductor of the truck was injured.
Police said the truck on reaching Sandhvadi area of Samba district this morning went out of drivers control after its tyre burst and it overturned on the Highway.
The apple boxes filled in the truck were scattered on the National Highway. The driver and operator were injured.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
Due to the accident there was a traffic jam on Highway for some time after the truck overturned on the road, but soon traffic was restored by the Police.
