Apprise people about welfare schemes: Rekha to BJP activists

JAMMU, Feb 27: Jammu and Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party, secretary, Rekha Mahajan, has stressed upon the party activists to apprise the people of various welfare schemes launched during the six years rule of BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She was addressing a meeting of BJP activists in Ward No. 34 of Jammu West district.
The meeting was organised under leadership of BJP Janipur Mandal, president, Raveesh Mengi, wherein future programmes were discussed and discussions held on strengthening the party base at booth level.
Rekha Mahajan, who is also Prabhari of Jammu West district, said that the party has a healthy tradition of organising programmes related to political activities and holding organisational meetings with the motive of remaining in contact with the public and updating the party cadre with the party’s programmes and policies.
She said that we should focus on constitution of booth level committees representing all sections of society, especially the women folk adding that proper  booth management is very important for better results in polls.
“Each one of us should also devote time to educate the people about welfare schemes aimed at socio-economic upliftment of the poor”, Rekha said and added that for the first time in the history of India every section has been covered under one scheme or the other by Narendra Modi Government.
Rekha Mahajan asked the party activists to compile details related to schemes like Ujwala Yojna, Mudra Yojna, Ujala Yojna, especially Ayushman Bharat Yojna ‘Sehat’ which will benefit all the residents of J&K  by providing health cover up to Rs  five lakh .She asked the party activists to help the targeted sections to avail the benefits of schemes.
The BJP leader said that Modi Government has done more than developed western nations in tackling Coronavirus and it is a matter of pride for India that WHO and IMF have  lauded the Modi Government for steps taken to deal with the pandemic. Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has congratulated India for its efforts in distributing vaccine too, she added.
Jammu and Kashmir BJP Executing Member and district Seh Prabhari  Shailja Gupta, Election in-charge (J&K BJP) Parduman Singh also addressed the meeting.
