JAMMU, Oct 20: Inter Army Public School (APS) Debate Competition was organized by APS Kaluchak, which tested competitors’ speaking skills, awareness and critical thinking abilities. The school had invited 8 Army Public Schools across Jammu.
APS Kaluchak added yet another feather in their illustrious cap with the budding debaters making their Alma Mater proud as they held aloft a glittering trophy relishing this glorious moment.
Keeping in view the judicious and balanced use of technology and the pivotal role played by the women in shaping the future of the world, very apt and relevant topics were chosen for the debate competition.
In English Debate, Variga Khajuria and Amanpreet Kour spoke for and against the motion respectively on a very contemporary and appropriate topic “Robotic Revolution-A great leap or a great fall”. While in Hindi debate, Nityanshi Chandan spoke for the motion and Takshpreet Singh presented his arguments against the motion on a much debatable topic “Women prove to be better politicians”. All the contestants put forth their views and arguments skillfully and convincingly.
APS Kaluchak bagged the much coveted Inter Army Public School Debate (English and Hindi) Rolling Trophy. They put up a stellar performance, speaking with skill, clarity and depth of analysis.
The Best Speaker for English was Variga Khajuria of APS Kaluchak and fir Hindi was Takshpreet Singh of APS Kaluchak. Adding on to the achievements, Prabhjot Singh and Sneha Lalotra of APS Kaluchak bagged the trophy of best interjector in English and Hindi respectively. In English debate APS BD Bari bagged runners-up trophy, while in Hindi, APS Jammu Cantt stood second. Overall, APS Kaluchak was adjudged the winner of the Running Trophy.
All the participants were given participation certificates. The winning team was presented with a glittering trophy.
Chairperson, Reeta Yadav infused the fire of enthusiasm among the students with her motivation laden words.
“We are proud to host this phenomenal event which supports and prepares students to become strong global ambassadors. We salute the achievements of each of the competitors, along with their parents and facilitators who have supported them in this journey:, said Hem Lata Vishen, Principal of APS Kaluchak.
The event concluded with vote of thanks by Vice Principal, APS Kaluchak, Pushpinder Kour.
