JAMMU, Sept 19: ARC Hospitality Institute, Gandhi Nagar (Jammu), a leading private hospitality institute affiliated with the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), celebrated the graduation of its second batch of Culinary Arts and Bakery Arts students.
The event marked the successful completion of Government-certified programs by a cohort of talented students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill in culinary and bakery arts. These certifications equip the students to pursue diverse career paths, including opening their own cloud kitchens, bakeries, cafes or restaurants, and securing employment in top hotel brands across India or abroad, with 100% placement assistance.
Additionally, the certification is beneficial for students planning to work abroad, as the NSQF-Level 4 certificates issued by the Skill India Department are recognized internationally, enabling them to secure part-time jobs in the hospitality industry.
The ceremony was graced by Om Prakash Bhagat, Director of Skill Development, J&K, who served as the chief guest. Bhagat awarded certificates to the graduating students and, in his speech, emphasized the importance of short-term, skill-based courses in today’s economy. He highlighted how these programs are particularly valuable for the youth of J&K, helping them either become entrepreneurs or secure employment in the fast-growing hospitality industry.
The students, during their course, receive rigorous training in global cuisines, an extensive pastry curriculum, and hands-on experience. As part of the curriculum, industrial visits are organized, offering students insights into the commercial kitchens of hotels and restaurants. They also interact with senior professionals who have excelled in various hospitality sectors.
