JAMMU, Apr 24: The migrants from village Areh in Kulgam district of South Kashmir today made an appeal to Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister, Raman Bhalla to get restored the 28 kanals of land belonging to Hindu Cremation ground in the village to the community.
A delegation of the villagers who visited Excelsior today said that 28 kanals of land on Areh-Mohanpora road has been encroached for construction of Bus Stand without the permission from the community members from the village leading an exiled life outside the Valley for last 23 years. They said that the cremation ground exists for times immemorial and the land as per the revenue records, belongs to community hence it should be immediately restored.
The migrant Pandits from the village expressed the hope that Mr Bhalla would take personnel interest in settling the issue.
