JAMMU, Apr 29: Arjun Mahajan, Bollywood actor and son of soil, has a Dogri subject in mind and producing a Dogri movie from Jammu ‘Khand Mitthe Log Dogre’.
He called on Raman Bhalla, Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture and briefed him about his concept.
“I know Arjun from his childhood and about his work in Bollywood. He has done more than 150 commercial TV ads, movies and TV serials. I am proud of Jammu boy Arjun Mahajan who has highlighted the name of Jammu and I wish him all the success to his new production Khand Mitthe Log Dogre,” Bhalla said.
Arjun feels that producing Dogri films will be a lot easier because they are not as strenuous as their Bollywood counterparts. “We can afford them and market them better,” he added.
“I know a lot of people involved in Dogri films and I would like to participate in some way or the other. It will be good as regional cinema is very important for the State. It has to go side by side with Bollywood. It is important that I do something about it soon,” he said.
