JAMMU, Aug 9: Army and police today recovered a consignment of arms and ammunition during a search operation at village Chasana in Mahore area of Reasi district and destroyed a hideout of the militants.
Official sources said a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles, Territorial Army and police carried out search operation in forest areas of Madan Nadi Chapri near Chasana in Mahore area of Reasi district this morning and destroyed a hideout of the militants. However, no arrests were made from the spot.
Army and police conducted searches in the area but there was no movement of the militants or the Over Ground Workers (OGWs) in the area.
Recoveries made from the hideout included two AK-47 rifles, two AK magazines, 80 rounds of AK-47, 10 rounds of 9 mm pistol and war like stores.
