SRINAGAR, July 20: Security forces today recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition at Karnah sector of Kupwara district.
An official said that in a joint operation of Army and Police the recovery of arms ammunition and other warlike stores was made at Amrohi village from a Nallah on the LoC in Karnah sector during the intervening night of July 19 and July 20.
The official said that the recovery includes two rifles, 5 pistols with magazines, 4 hand grenades and two pairs of shoes during the joint operation.
He said that Pakistani currency of 20000 was also recovered.
The official also said that further investigation is underway.
