JAMMU, Aug 27: Troops of Delta Force and police today busted a hideout of the militants and recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition from it at Nai Gad Nullah near village Shalog in Kishtwar district
Official sources said a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles unit deployed at Dool and police conducted massive searches at Shalog for two days and busted the militant hideout this afternoon.
No arrests were made from the spot.
Recoveries made from the hideout included one AK rifle with three magazines and 562 rounds, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) with eight grenades, 11 rounds of .303 rifles, one satellite telephone, four radio sets, 12 hand grenades, four pistol magazines and two binoculars.
Sources said the hideout belonged to the Hizbul Mujahideen as some militants of the outfit were still at large in the district.
