Srinagar, May 20: Army today recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from forest area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A senior Army officer said here that Army conducted searches in Danush in general area of Kaithawali forests of Keran in the frontier district of Kupwara today.
The officer said that two AK rifles, 3 AK magazines, 221 AK rounds, six pistols, 10 pistol magazines and 96 pistol rounds and one kenwood radio set were recovered.
The officer said that Army also carried out searches in general area of Marbal forests in Sopore area of Baramulla district and found 5 blankets, cylinder and dry ration that was used by militants in the forest area. He said that searches in the forest area are going on for suspected militants.
