Army chief reviews security in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 25: Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi today reviewed security in Kashmir in the aftermath of the terror attack in Pahalgam in which 26 people were killed earlier this week.

General Dwivedi arrived at Chinar Corps headquarters and was briefed about security operations launched by the Army for the last few days against the terrorists who were involved in the killing of tourists besides the situation along the Line of Control (LoC).
The Army chief was told that the Army along with other security agencies is conducting operations across the Valley against the terrorists and their sympathisers. He also conducted the aerial survey of Pahalgam and Baisaran where the attack took place.
General Dwivedi also visited Kilo Force Headquarters of the Army where he was given a briefing about the security operations launched by security forces in South Kashmir and operational preparedness of the troops.
