JAMMU, Feb 29: A meeting of Army officers, prominent citizens of Panchayat Dhindey Kalan and Makhanpur Gujran was held at BDO Office Miran Sahib in which MLA R.S Pura, Dr.Gagan Bhagat was the chief guest.
In the meeting threadbare discussions were held among the prominent persons along with sarpanchs and Panchs who highlighted the genuine issues of the public at the Panchayat Level. While speaking on the occasion Dr. Bhagat said  main issue was the defense ditch, that was constructed in the year 1965. Since then it was under the control of the Indian Army and nobody was allowed to make a crossing bridge or some other type of construction near that ditch which touches both R.S Pura and Bishnah constituencies besides hundreds of Villages.
He said the said defense canal or ditch has not been de-silted since that period  due to which the whole area gets chocked during rainy season and water logging of the area takes place, which was the biggest problem of the area. He stressed that army and civilian liaison needs to be held at regular intervals.
