Army conducts medical- cum-veterinary camp

BARAMULLA, Oct 19: A medical camp was organized by the 46RR of Dagger Division at Fatehgarh, Baramulla in north Kashmir to provide on the spot treatment, free medicines and specialist advice to the villagers of Fatehgarh and nearby places.
A joint medical team of officers and nursing assistants from the army medical and Veterinary corps participated in the event with zeal and enthusiasm. A total of 370 adults, 488 children and 132 animals were given treatment. The villagers were also educated by the doctors on requirements of hygiene and sanitation in view of the recent floods and the impending winters.
The camp was a huge success in terms of the benefits provided to the local population. Local populace thanked army for its efforts and called upon various agencies for such camps in future also.
