JAMMU, Mar 20: Exposing younger generation to varied facets of Indian Army under the campaign ‘Know Your Army’, a national integration tour has been planned by Uniform Force for the students of Indian Heritage School, Dalhousie.
The tour comprises of three teachers and 31 students. During the four-day long tour the children will be taken to Reasi, Talwara, Sarol and other remote boarder locations.
The children will be taken around Jammu and various Defence installations, shown firing ranges, weapon displays, Corps Battle School and Army Dogs Training. They were apprised about various civic-action programs undertaken by Army authorities under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’. They will also interact with their counterparts in local schools in Reasi and shown Paras Boys Hostel.
The children will also be taken for leisure visits to the picturesque sites of tourist attraction, which included Siyhar Baba waterfalls, Bhimgarh Fort and Hydel project, Salal. They will also enjoy rafting in the Chenab river.
