Srinagar, Apr 23: Army today said it conducted a career counselling seminar on ‘Life is Olive Green and Becoming an Army Officer’ at Mazbug in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A defence spokesman said the seminar was attended by over 150 students including 70 girls from various schools and colleges in and around Sopore. “The seminar commenced with lecture on the subject by, Commander Watlab Sector who gave an insight into the role, value system, life style, benefits and emoluments of the Indian Army officer. He also covered various types of entry schemes including those for women,” he said.
The defence spokesman said the students were very inquisitive and asked questions related to planning and preparation for becoming an Army Officer, difficulties being faced as an Army Officer, characteristics of successful officer, family life of an Officer etc.
