Army conducts tour for Uri youth

Srinagar May 27: A Dogra unit of Army under the aegis of Kala Pahar Brigade today flagged off 15 day tour for Youth of Uri to Delhi, Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
A statement issued by the army said that the aim of the tour is to acquaint the youth with the diversity and richness of the culture and heritage of India. “The tour will provide the rural folk a glimpse of the dramatic growth and development undertaken by our country. A group of 26 youth residing in the remote villages of Uri Sub Division have been selected to be part of this team”, the statement said.
The tour was flagged off by Abdul Rashid Mir, ZEO Chandanwari and Brig RK Singh, Commander Kala Pahar Brigade today at a colourful ceremony at Sridhar Complex, Uri.
