Army denies Chinese incursion in Arunachal Pradesh

NEW DELHI: There has been no Chinese incursion in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh, Army spokesperson said here on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, Arunachal Pradesh BJP president and MP, Tapir Gao talking to a television channel claimed that Chinese Army constructed a wooden bridge over ‘Doimru Nala’, 25 km away from Chaglagam in Anjaw district, bordering China, in the month of August.

The BJP MP said it was disclosed by party workers who had gone for hunting there.

“The area being referred to in the media report on ‘some electronic channels’, is the area of Fish Tail. There is differing perception of the alignment of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), as in many other areas. The terrain is thickly vegetated and all movements are undertaken on foot along Nalas and streams. During monsoons whenever the Nalas are in spates, temporary bridges are constructed by the patrols for their movement,” the spokesperson said in a statement. (AGENCIES)
