SHOTOPA/KARGIL, Dec 14: Eight computers, utensils and furniture were distributed amongst eight villages of Suru Valley, Kargil, by the Commander Top Gun Brigade Brigadier Mukesh Agarwal during an impressive function at Army Auditorium Hall, Khumbathang, Kargil, today.
On this occasion Panchs, Sarpanchs of Suru Valley and officers of the Indian Army were present.
While interacting with the villagers the Commander told that these computers have been arranged by the Top Gun Brigade and Forever in Operations Division Khumbathang as promised by the GOC to the villagers, as funding under OP Sadhbhavna.
He told that the main focus areas of OP Sadhbhavna are imparting education, for which Army has opened AGS School at Faroona village and 14 School buses are running all over the Suru Valley. Army has taken many students from Suru Valley to Udaipur for imparting quality education.
The Commander urged the people of Suru valley to look after and maintain the facilities provided by the Army so that proper utilization of these resources can be assured.
Brigadier Agarwal further added that this service of the Indian Army will continue in the future with the cooperation of the Jawan and Awam for the overall development of the people of Kargil.
