JAMMU,  Aug 1: Lieutenant General KJ Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command felicitated two brave-hearts Darshan Kumar, Gateman Special Carts of Indian Railways and Mr Satpal, residents of Dinanagar in a simple function at Tiger Division, today.
Mr Satpal was commended with the Army Commander’s Commendation Card also.
These two ‘Jagruk Hindustani’ were instrumental in saving the lives of train passengers by detecting five planted IEDs on the railway track from Dinanagar to Pathankot on July 27, 2015 during anti terrorist operations at Dinanagar, Gurudaspur.
Had it not been for their swift alertness and sense of responsibility, the local passenger train would have crossed over the IEDs.
