Army flags off educational tour

SRINAGAR, Oct 3: Army today flagged off a 12-day Educational-cum-Motivational tour of at least 20 students and two teachers from Langate to Delhi- Jaipur.
An Army spokesman said the tour is being organised by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion as part of the ‘Sadhbhavana’ programme.
“The tour is being conducted with an aim of strengthening the bonds of the community with the diverse culture of the nation and encourage greater involvement in the service to mankind,” he said, adding, the tour has been conceived to expose the children to peace and development outside Kashmir and build a sense of National Integration amongst the children residing in Qaziabad.
Commander of 17 RR stated that the aim of the excursion is to develop a sense of nationalism and increase awareness regarding the avenues of education and development which stands as an epitome of growth.
