JAMMU, June 20: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, located at Bhaderwah, under Delta Force organized a 10-day tour of Panchs and Sarpanchs from Bhaderwah to Chennai.
The tour organized in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Chennai, was flagged off today by Commanding Officer of the Battalion.
The tour will be of great help to the locals in shaping and developing their future. The tour will be visiting places of historical, educational and cultural interest in Chennai i.e Railway Museum, Dakshinachitra, Mylapore, St George Fort, Fort Museum, Vivekananda House, Marina Beach and various Panchayats.
The tour will give the Panches and Sarpanches an opportunity to interact with people of different culture and Panchayats outside the State and also give them a deep insight of how peace and tranquility in other parts of the country has ushered prosperity and development.
