KARGIL, May 5: Defeating Government High School Hardass, Kargil, by a convincing margin in the final, the Army Goodwill School Harka Bahadur lifted the under-17 years boys title in the Inter-School Volleyball Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School Kargil, here.
The tournament in which about 140 boys and girls participated, was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in the disciplines of kho-kho, volleyball and handball in under-14 and under-17 boys and girls categories.
Syed Kazim Sabere, Executive Councilor for Social Welfare LAHDC was the chief guest in the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams. Zonal Physical Education Officer, Kargil, Mohd Hussain Rehnuma, was also present on the occasion.
Others present on the occasion included Councilors Syed Razvi and Abdul Rahim, besides Principal Boys Higher Secondary School Kargil and ZPEO Sankoo.
