KARGIL, Apr 22: Army is playing a great role in Kargil for promotion of education as under Operation Sadbhavana, it helped about 34 students belonging to far-flung areas of Kargil in reading at Sharad English School (SEC) Pune.
Sharad English School in Pune (Maharashtra) is one of the best and famous schools of India since 2006. As these 34 students successfully completed their studies at SEC Pune, 16 Maratha Light Infantry under the aegis of 121 Infantry Brigade Kargil organized their returning arrangements for consolidating National integration and knitting various areas of our nation together.
On the occasion, a colorful programme was held at Chanigund, the unit HQ of 16 Maratha Light Infantry, where the Commanding Officer of the unit and parents gave a warm welcome to the students.
SEC Pune stands tall today in imparting quality education to children of the far flung areas of Kargil and Ladakh region. All the expenditure for education, boarding and lodging is provided by Sharad Society, Pune.
