Army holds lecture on healthy life style

JAMMU, May 17:  In an effort to promote awareness about health amongst the youth residing in the area of Piragali, a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force organized a lecture on ‘health is wealth’ for the locals at Piragali, district Rajouri, today.
The event evoked considerable interest among the locals in which around 25 men, women and children participated.
The lecture was organised to provide awareness regarding health among the youth of this area and also to provide an opportunity to instill a sense of healthy life among the youth.   The programme was inaugurated by Wazir Ahmad, Sarpanch village Piragali.
On the occasion, a lecture on healthy lifestyle was delivered by Medical Officer of the battalion. The event was utilized to provide awareness to locals about various diseases and prevention from them. Various charts were placed to illustrate the information on diseases.
While speaking on the occasion, Wazir Ahmad said that the people of Piragali were very grateful to the Indian Army for organizing such an event for them.  These important lectures would improve the quality of life of the locals by provide important knowledge on how to deal with various health issues.
