Army installs power transformer

SHADIMARG, Mar 23: As a part of Sadhbhavana, Army installed a 100 KVA electrical transformer at Village Shadimarg, Pulwama.
The existing transformer was unserviceable and beyond repair due to excess load. Seeing the need of Shadimarg locals, Army has taken a great step to resolve the power crises in the village.
The villagers including shopkeeper and students were facing lot of hardships in past few months. Village and market committee met the  stakeholders of this task but people were still waiting for electricity restoration.
Later, when Army was approached by locals, Army as per its tradition to help the Awaam the hours of need, without much delay installed a Transformer under Sadhbhavana programme. The support of Awaam and electricity department Pulwama resulted in timely restoration of electricity.
“We were facing lot of difficulties in pursing our studies but the problem has been reloved by our Army”, said Ashraf Hussain student of Govt High School, Shadimarg.
This step is very beneficial to all the people of Village Shajimarg.  People especially students, shopkeepers and housewives applauded the efforts taken by the Army and expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation towards the installation of  the Transformer in the village in this need of hour.
The restoration of electricity will result in 36 shopkeepers to earn their livelihood and approx 400 students to prepare for their examinations and do studies.  A total of total 246 houses will be benefited by this project.
