Army interacts with Veer Naris

JAMMU, Aug 22: Army organised an interaction cum welfare activity for 23 Veer Naris at  Swargiya Makhan Singh, Shaurya Chakra, Sports complex, Kalal.
These Veer Naris hailed from various villages from Nawshera, Reasi and Rajouri districts. The event was to understand and mitigate their problems and provide information with respect to various welfare schemes applicable to them. Special emphasis was given to addressing pension related issues and discrepancies and other grievances requiring facilitation by the Army. Medical facilities were made available to the Veer Naris by the Army lady medical officer at the venue. CSD facilities were also made available during the interaction.
General Officer Commanding, Uniform Force, felicitated the Veer Naris during the interaction. While addressing the gathering, he mentioned that he is humbled by the sacrifice, courage and determination of our brave hearts and that they are the role models for the society.
The officials of civil administration and Zila Sainik Welfare Board, Rajouri, were also present during the interaction. On culmination of the interaction a lunch was organised for Veer Naris and their family members.
