Army jawan arrested for stone pelting

Srinagar, Feb 28: A soldier is among five stone pelters arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district today.
Sources said that a group of youth who were pelting stones on Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) near Radnag village against killing of seven militants in Lalpora early this week.
Police and CRPF chased the stone pelters and arrested five of them, one among them being an Army personnel of 161 Territorial Army posted in Uri, Baramulla and was on leave.
The TA personnel has been identified as Mohammad Ishaq Lone son of Ghulam Ahmed Lone of Hayatpora, Lolab. The other four arrested stone pelters are Muneer Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Younis Khan of Lalpora, Firdous Ahmad Sheikh son of Bashiur Ahmad Sheikh of Dardpora, Bilal Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Jabbar Bhat of Dardpora and Mohammad Abass Rather son of Manzoor Ah Rather of Dardpora.
