Army jawan injured in blast

JAMMU, Nov 4: An Army jawan was seriously injured in a mine blast on  the Line of Control (LoC) in Sabjian sector of Poonch district last night.
Reports said the Army jawan identified as Rifleman Buddi Bahadur Tamang stepped over a mine on the LoC while patrolling a forward area leading to explosion at 11.30 pm last night.
Army jawans evacuated the injured to local hospital and was airlifted to Command Hospital in Udhampur this morning in view of his serious condition. He was responding to the treatment.
Reports said the jawan was moving in the front as part of Army patrol and accidentally stepped over the mine that caused the blast. The Army soldiers following him had a narrow escape in the blast.
