RAMBAN, Nov 30: Army jawan shot himself with his service weapon and died in Chamalwas area of tehsil Banihal, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Tejpal Singh, a resident of village Warsabad District Amroho Uttar Pradesh.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal for autopsy.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by Banihal Police in this regard.
