RAMBAN, Apr 27: An Army man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Banihal area.
As per police sources, an Army man identified as Asangeppa Madar (28), son of Parasappa of Layadagundi Bagalkot Karnataka shot himself with his service rifle at R-Center Camp Banihal.
Following the gunshot, the colleagues rushed towards him and found him in a pool of blood, sources said, adding that he was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Banihal Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
