Army manages job for Uri youth

SRINAGAR, July 22: Army today said that it has facilitated jobs for over 50 underprivileged youth of Uri in district Baramulla in outside the State companies.
A statement issued by the Army said that the first batch of 25 local boys were provided employment at Gurgaon, by AVON Facility Management Services Pvt Ltd. “It was the first company to take the initiative and provide jobs to the unemployed boys of the Valley”, the statement added.
Following the footsteps of AVON another company, Frontline (NCR) Business Solutions Pvt Ltd provided employment at Haridwar, Uttarakhand to another batch of 25 local boys.
The statement said that the unique initiative started by 150 Field Regiment has till date provided jobs to 50 local boys in corporate sector companies outside the State and seven boys within the State and has been widely appreciated by the local populace.
“We can only hope that in the near future, this kind of an endeavor will attract more corporate sector companies to the Valley with various schemes for the welfare and employment of the local youth,” the statement said.
