Army officer booked in Women Cell

JAMMU, May 18: Women Cell of Jammu Police today booked a senior Army officer for alleged harassment of his wife.
FIR No. 15/2013 under Section 498 RPC was registered against Lt Col Anand Siddarth posted outside the State on the complaint of his wife, who happened to be a resident of Channi Himmat and daughter of a senior Army officer.
In her complaint, the woman, who had been married about three-four years back, had charged his Army officer husband with harassment.
After conducting investigations, the Women Cell today lodged a FIR against Lt Col Siddarth.
Police said the Army officer would be called for questioning through official channel.
