Army opens drug de-addiction centre

Srinagar, Feb 22:  Army today inaugurated a drug de-addiction counselling centre and a dog bite treatment centre in Baramulla.
A spokesman of the Army said Major General Anil Chauhan, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding 19 Infantry Division of 46 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (SIKH) threw open the centre.
Farooq Ahmad Lone, DC Baramulla, HS Rawat, DIG CRPF, Zubair Ahmed KPS, SSP Baramulla and Dr Ashiq Hussain, CMO Baramulla were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion Major General Anil Chauhan, said the de-adiction counseling centre and dog bite treatment centre is a contribution of the Army towards the society for the benefit of the local populace.
Dr IPS Bali, MIDS and Dr Bashir Ahmed Chalkoo, Medical Superintendent, Distt Hospital Baramulla also expressed their opinion on the occasion.  The effort of Army was highly appreciated by all civilians and local populace.
A similar centre was also opened at Haft Chinar area of Rambagh in Srinagar.
