JAMMU, June 22: To commemorate the 100th Birth Anniversary of Brigadier Mohd Usman, MVC, Nowshera Brigade today organised an ‘Aman Ki Daud’ for the youths of Naoshera.
A large number of youths from the villages of Nowshera area gathered on the foothills of the mountain ranges of Jhangar, which had witnessed the fiercest of battles in the 1947-48 operations under the heroic leadership of Brigadier Mohd Usman to recapture Jhangar from the evil clutches of the enemy, and participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
With their heads held high, Tricolour in hands and beaming smiles, they were running on the mountain ranges of Jhangar, resonating the message of peace and tranquility.
The ‘Aman Ki Daud’ concluded at ‘Usman Memorial’, where all got together to pay homage to Brig Usman, who was a true leader and an indomitable hall mark of the secular fabric of our country.
The energetic participants were felicitated for their contribution by the Commander, Nowshera Brigade.
