UDHAMPUR, June 13: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Army at Bagga, conducted a medical camp for the local population at village Shadul and Bari Bahak of Gulabgarh region with an endeavour to extend medical aid in remote area.
A total of 1155 patients including 383 women and 260 children from Gulabgarh area of Mahore Sub Division, availed the benefit of free medical treatment and free distribution of medicines.
Doctors and Medical representatives from the Army and civil administration provided treatment to all patients at the camp which was organised with the objective of providing medical aid to people from far flung areas.
A lecture on good health and hygiene including prevention measures against ailments like Jaundice, Malaria, Viral Hepatitis and Enteric Fever was conducted on the occasion by a doctor.
The villagers expressed gratitude to the Army for rendering medical aid to patients, especially the elderly people of remote area.
