SRINAGAR, Aug 6: Army today organised a medical check up cum distribution camp for residents of Tilpatra Bhaiks near LoC in Bonyar area of north Kashmir.
The camp witnessed a heavy footfall where in more than 140 locals including women and children attended.
During the summer months in Boniyar Tehsil nearly 100-120 families from the villages near LoC move to the pastures and meadows on upper reaches of Pir Panjal for cattle grazing. Although difficult landscape and poor connectivity present a challenge to their daily routine but they face them with a smile.
However being away from civil medical infrastructure, at times medical emergencies pose criticalities to the inhabitants.
Indian Army while being deployed at LoC shoulders the responsibility of guarding the Kashmir valley from external threats also remains sanguine to providing medical assistance to the people residing in these far flung areas.
The focus of the medical staff remained on basic health education, lifestyle diseases, COVID protocols along with distribution of medicines.
