Army organises Multi Specialty Medical Camp

DRAS, May 16: Army here today organized a multi-specialty medical camp as part of Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas to address the healthcare needs of the people residing in remote border villages of Kargil District at Dras.
More than 500 residents including ex-servicemen and Veer Naris of remote villages were benefitted by the medical checkups and provision of essential medicines.
Army’s endeavour of ‘Sampark-Swasthya-Sahuliyat’ accentuated its commitment in extending essential and vital healthcare wherein doctors and specialists in the fields of Dental, ENT, Ophthalmology, Nephrology and Cardiology from Army and Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai provided expert medical checkups, advice and quality treatment to locals of remote border villages.
The mega medical camp also served as a platform for community engagement, fostering bonds of trust between the public and Army.
The initiative not only showcased Indian Army’s commitment towards humanitarian assistance but also re-affirmed its role towards nation building.
