Srinagar, Apr 23: Army today organised an online career counselling session at Army Goodwill Schools in Sopore and Bandipora areas of north Kashmir in which over 100 students including students from other schools participated.
A defence spokesman said the counselling session dwelt on photography as a hobby and as a profession. “The session was conducted by Mr Nachiket Guttikar, a graduate in Physics and Photography from Ferguson College, Pune. He also holds a degree in MFA photography, video and related media from School of Visual Arts. He is presently pursuing Phd from a leading USA university,” said the spokesman.
He said the noted photographer was also involved in a documentary project with the NGO ‘Aseem’ in Kashmir in 2014. “The counselling included a Question and answer session, which aptly evinced the interest of keen, inquisitive, creative young minds. Introducing students at the right age and time to various career options by such endeavours helps them in securing a sound future as per their aptitude and skill sets,” the spokesman added.
