Army organises street play on drug abuse

KALAKOTE, June 27:  Rashtriya Rifles Battalion in collaboration with ‘Kalakote Jan Jagran Manch’ a street play group have undertaken the noble project of spreading knowledge and awareness amongst the people of Kalakote Tehsil through street plays.
With a purpose to strengthen the pillars of the future generation and to commemorate the “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”, street plays with the theme “End Drug Menace” were organised at Kalakote and neighbouring villages. Around 83 children, 126 youth and 41 elders attended the play and appreciated the effort put in by the Indian Army and Jan Jagran Manch.
Message delivered through street play was well received by everyone and compelled the people to contemplate ways to arrest and remove this social curse, which is rotting the present society.
