Army organizes Arts and Theatre Workshop

SRINAGAR, Apr 21: Arts and Theatre Workshop organized by Army’s Himalayan Brigade under the aegis of Dagger Division, culminated today in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An Army spokesman said that the workshop was organized in collaboration with Kiran Nadar Museum of Arts & Mehboob Cultural Studio in which trained instructors provided excellent training to budding artists in various facets of sketching, painting and acting.
He said more than 120 local students benefitted from the workshop. On the last day of the workshop, young talented actors staged breathtaking performances while budding artists displayed their sketches and paintings. “The event was witnessed by a sizeable number of students of various schools of Baramulla including Delhi Public School  Delina, Kendriya Vidyalaya Baramulla, St. Josheph School & Guru Nanak Model High School.
Brig R P Sharma, Deputy GOC Dagger Division, said that the event not only provided a platform to the students but also gave them an opportunity to showcase their talent.
“The prizes and mementos were given to the winners of arts and theatre workshop and to the organizers respectively,” the spokesman added.
