SRINAGAR, Apr 26: A drug de-addiction seminar was conducted at Khadniyar High School in Baramulla district by the staff of drug de-addiction centre, Baramulla in coordination with the Army on Wednesday.
An Army spokesman said the seminar was aimed at reaching out to the youth of the region with respect to the prevailing drug menace in the society.
He said the counselors from the centre took lectures on the various types of substance abuse, symptoms of drug addiction, mental health and relaxation techniques.
“An interactive session was also organized to deal with individual problems of the students. The students showed an overwhelming response towards the seminar which was evident by their active participation,” he said.
