SRINAGAR, May18: To curb the menace of drug abuse and to sensitise the budding youth of Gurez Valley about how to prevent themselves from such menace, a lecture on “Drug De-Addiction” was organised by the Army at Kanzalwan Village of Gurez area in Bandipora district
An Army spokesman said that the aim of this campaign was to create awareness amongst the youth about drug de-addiction, health issues, hygiene and stress free living.
He said during the lecture, the hazards of drug addiction and its aftermath were conveyed to the Awaam. “Social effects and psychological impacts on an individual’s health were also discussed during the lecture. ” he said.
