Army organizes educational tour for school children

MENDHAR, Dec 19: An educational-cum-career counseling tour for 23 students and two teachers of schools located in remote and far flung areas of Mendhar tehsil was organized by a Rashtriya Rifle Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force Romeo.
The tour was flagged off by SH Shah, Principal Government Degree College, Mendhar on Wednesday in an impressive flagging off ceremony organized by the RR Battalian.
During the tour, the students are scheduled to visit Bahu fort, Raghunath Market and Mansar Lake in Jammu; Lal Qila, India Gate and Jantar Mantar in Delhi; Jaigarh fort, Hawa Mahal and National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur and Mayo College, Pushkar Lake and Archaeological Museum in Ajmer.
They will also visit the antique Car Museum, Pichala Lake, Leela Palace, Udaipur City Palace and Museum at Udaipur.
During the tour, they will be meeting and interacting with many Vice Chancellors of deemed universities and finally on their return, they will also be meeting Governor of J&K, NN Vohra in Jammu.
