UDHAMPUR, Oct 19: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Bagga organised a medical camp for villages of Gulabgarh in Mahore tehsil, with the aim of providing medical care for people residing in remote areas in conjunction with State medical authorities at remote villages of Bagodas and Gulabgarh.
Objective of providing free medical was checkup, distribution of free medicines, immunization and spreading awareness on all modern day health related issues. Lectures on ailments common during winters and precautionary measures against them were also organised on the occasion for the benefit of the people.
The medical camp witnessed a total participation of 1130 patients including 537 women and 129 children. Though, the men in uniform are providing medical assistance to the local residents, however such endeavours are aimed at reaching out to the people in remote areas.
