Army organizes lecture on water-borne diseases

RAJOURI, Dec 17: As part of Sadbhavana initiative, which is aimed towards bringing sustained medical awareness among the population in the remote areas of the district here, Rashriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force conducted a lecture on water-borne diseases and their prevention at Girls Higher Secondary School, Palangarh near Saaj.
Village Saaj is one of the remote area of Rajouri district. In recently held interaction between Army and local residents from the area, civil administration of Saaj had requested Army authorities for conducting a lecture on water-borne diseases and their prevention and basic health related guidance for local population including school students.
The lecture on water-borne disease and their prevention was attended by 18 teachers, 170 students and few villagers of the area.
A medical Officer from Army gave lecture and health related guidance to local population of the area.
