Army organizes medical camp

SRINAGAR, Apr 27: Army in Wangat village of Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district today organised a medical camp with an aim to provide basic medical facilities to the populace residing in remote areas of the Valley.
A Defence spokesman said a team of Army and Civil Medical doctors including lady medicos attended to the patients and provided quality medical treatment to the needy people.
“Many patients were also referred to hospitals for further specialized treatment. They were also educated about various diseases, basic health hygiene, sanitation and drug abuse. Over 700 patients including women, children were provided medical treatment. People of all groups and gender from Wangat and adjoining areas availed the free medical treatment,” he said.
